Default CAN'T FIND REALLY BAD COOLANT LEAK!!!!

Ok,
So i have a really bad coolant leak right now and I can't find it! On Sunday when I was at the SoCal G2G I topped off my coolant because it was low. I filled it all the way to the max line. Then just today (Tuesday so 2 days later) my coolant low light came on. I checked it and it was ALMOST COMPLETELY EMPTY!!!! Thats an entire tank of coolant in 2 days! I have looked around for the pink crusty stuff but can't find any. Any ideas on where it could be coming from? It could be the water pump but I can't tell... Any help would be great. $23 a bottle for coolant is going to kill me at this rate!

There is a TSB for an o-ring leaking out of a coolant plug right next to the thermostat housing. It only leaks when the engine is cold.
Check under the intake manifold with a flash light next to the thermostat housing and check to see if its wet or if you can see the red crap.

Didnt you at one time complain about a leak at the ECTS flange? Whatever happend with that?
Have you gotten underneath the car for a look if nothing is obvious on top?

Onepoint. Yes I did. It was a bad o-ring on the old sensor. When I replaced the sensor it fixed that leak. It was fine for about 1 1/2 months or so. Now it's acting up again and it's really bad. i have not had a chance to get completely under the car yet. Now that I am back in school I don't have as much time and I don't have any of my tools with me [:@] I didn't have room to bring them down with me.

AudiTech. I will check that out tomorrow. Thanks.

Yeah, you might as well kiss your *** good bye without tools. If thats not it, check the coolant flange again where it connects to the block, that is a real *** kicker.

I remember you explaining that a while back. I took a close look at it the other day and to say its "a real *** kicker" seems to be an under statement [:@].

Yeah, thats about the nicest way i can describe it. I actually wrote a letter to audi's engineering department saying how much i hate them for making it so hard to replace. Years later the 2.0T comes out, leaks even more often at the flange, around 30k. Talk about bad karmaThe only good thing is it has a lot more room to work back there.
