Took a4 to get smog in California today.Everything was going fine with switch on.When they started the car the computer would not communicate
with their equipment.They said i had some type of odbc problem.Anyone heard of this that can offer ssome advice?

 

Same thing happen to me. Had to take it to another garage to smog. It worked at another shop. Do you have an aftermarket stereo? This could be the problem why your OBD2 plug won't communicate withe the smog computer. Don't take it to the STEALERSHIP if you have a aftermarket radio. They will charge you $300 just to re-wire it.

 

I have the stock Bose system.I had it at a place that only does smogs.Do you think i should take it to a different place for a smog?

 

i got the same system in my car and evry place i've took mine for inspection has been able to do it fine
