Default Car Dying At Idle

Ok so heres the problem, When I start my engine ( hot or cold ) when its sitting there idling, at random times it will just shut off or get really really close to shutting off and it does that everytime, even soemtimes when im at a redlight it would just shut off. While reading the Hayens Manuel, it says that it could be misfire, but everytime my car does misfire my engine light comes on and it does not do that everytime it shuts off randomly. Then it also says something about my fuel system, not including injectors, but the fuel pump/filter/fuel lines. But i cant be completely sure if its not misfiring what else could it be?

ALREADY CHECKED:
- Connection between intake & throttle body
- Intake air filter and piping
- spark plug wires
- injectors
- Spark plugs

So i ask the pros here at audiforums

Get some MAF or electrical cleaner and take it out and clean it. See if that helps. If it still does the dieing thing, try unplugging the MAF and see how well it runs. If that still doesn't fix it have it scanned for codes and see if there is anything there. If there is write them down, clear them and then see if any come back. Actually try that first then do the MAF thing, or do both. Post the codes here and we can help you out more.

Also, are you running the 1.8T or 2.8 engine? I can't tell by your sig.

Most likely an electrical issue not a mechanical one, i have been having very random sporadic problems with my idling sometimes my car wont fire for a few minutes and when it does the needle is all over the place, most of the time it fires perfectly.

check your throttle maybe it's so dirty so it cannot really breath at idle.

throttle body is a good place to start and it could be the idle speed control ( ISC ) actuator position sensor
