Default Car jerks on take off...

2007 a4 2.0T CVT.

I was curious, maybe i'm just now used to a turbo or CVT, but my new 2007 A$ tends to “jerk” forward off the line. It only happens from 0-3000 rpm in first gear. Does this sound normal or am should i bring it in for service?

Thanks in advance.

From driving my friend's 2007 2.0T I've never noticed any jerk utill the BT spools up but if your car feels like it has a bowling ball rolling around in it then you may have broken the motor mounts like I just did in my A4. Good luck figuring it out!

There are multiple gears on snowmobiles. Usually a high and low. Basically theres automatic clutches like this

You can tell its in first gear because the CVT usually works on centrifugal force so when going slow enough it will go into first gear just like a snowmobile.

Yuck CVT. Well there is about 4-5 TSB's for cvt bucking, jerking, bugging out while cruising, you pretty much name it there is a tsb for it. Piece of crap.[:'(]

the CVT is notoriously non-gentle and jerky on take off. always has been. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it starts making wierd noises, or misbehaving at different points during accelleration. try not stomping on the gas pedal right after you get off the brakes. give it a second to catch before you really mash on it. lame, I know, but it works.
