CAR LOST POWER, CEL WENT ON AND MADE REALLY LOUD TICKING FROM ENGINE....PLEASE HELP =*(
do you see that vacuum valve that burnt out and I had to cut it off and install new hoses and T fittings on to patch it up to drive home? I am wondering what that thing is and if that could cause my problems. Please see pictures for reference.
picture 1 and 2 is the actual valve with hoses connected to it where i cut it
picture 3 is where it used to be and how it was "patched" to get home
picture 4 is a comparison pic of where the valve use to be and how it was originally connected comparing next to the temporary fix that I did.
Thanks guys and please reply with ideas/suggestions.

sounds like what happened to me when my crank gear sheered its keyway. timing belt slipped a couple teeth and the car lost power, then while crank to restart it, it must have slipped more and i heard a lotta ticking and thats when I knew what happened. Basically everything was destroyed, valves went through the top of the pistons
well was the car able to start after that happend? this item pictured is a purge valve correct guys? how much does it cost and where can i get it? please let me know...thanks. i will try to replace that and see if any luck.
Sounds similar to when my timing belt tensioner broke.
The valve thing doesnt sound like your problem, but it wouldn't hurt ot replace it to rule it out, you should replace it anyway.
if the timing belt is loose (broken tensioner) it will slip, and eventually probably wont start once it is to far off.
Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is take the car apart and get the t-belt covers off and inspect the timing belt and components.
how many miles on this, what year/ model is it?

yeah if the belt slipped i'm pretty sure it causes internal damage. but I'm not the guy to be answering this.
