Thats because your pricing APR... Its so much cheaper to piece a setup together. I didnt include Arif's clutch in that $3k estimate. You must be talking about an electronic boost conrtroller for $300 (not necessary, but nice), big brakes arent necessary (but nice-upgraded rotors/pads will do fine), an exhaust costs no where near $1000 for a custom setup which you should do with a BT.... I have heard of countless people using APR BT/software that have issues with it. You dont need to spend as much as you think to get the gains you want, there are many other options.

 

haha thanks ya and I guess I could just do it over time with a relatively low milage car. How can I find this stuff cheaper and know what to get. And $8000 was for an ideal setup no practical haha.

 

Yes you could totally pimp an A4 for 8 grand... Im not arguing that... PM arif about his mods/costs because he is making as much or more powerthan that APR kit produces, I think.

haha that may be true but im considering a new route and a newer car. I think i might go for a 2003 and get a loan for it. I like the B5 more but its hard to find a low mile good quality one.
