After doing 80 on the high way the traffic slowed down to stop and go. This Infiniti in front of me slammed on the brakes so I had to slam on my brakes too and i was getting too close so I swerved almost hitting the guard rail and I felt the pressure from the brake pedal leave and my foot hit the floor then the car shut off. Is this normal? I have a 01 Audi A4 2.8 they don't have any sort of collision sensor that would cause this right? My malfunction indicator light has been on I'm gonna get it Vag'd tomorrow.

 

i had this happen in my 01 but in a diff way. my throttle body would keep losing its power thus shutting th ecar off. the epc light would come on. do u have a system at all. i got rid of mine and it has seemed to solve it but when i get it back from the shop im goin to reinstall it to see if it does it again

 

Do I have what system? The Epc? Yea I have that. Do you think that is what caused it? Why would it shut the car off when I brake hard? DId this happen to you from braking?
