My car wont start at all. I know its not the battery. would the water pump prevent it from starting up. the car has about 107k miles.





2000 1.8T quattro tiptronic.

 

Does it make any sounds when you turn the key? Are the interior lights on? Does the dash light up? Have you looked under the hood for anything unusual?

 

is the fuel pump cycling when you turn the ignition on/ is there a spark at the plugs??

 

All the lights go on, when i try to turn the car i get like a chic, chic, chic noise really fast. than it like dies out.

 

try boost starting it chances are the battery is well below its cranking amps should this work then when started check the alternator is giving good feed to the battery and if yes then change the battery or at least check the fluid levels and grounds

 

I try already to give it boost... the same kept on doing.

if its a manual transmission try push starting it, this will confirm if the s/motor is stuffed

yup it has starter written all over it...
