Default Car Won't Start

So I got the GIAC chip installed on Saturday. Drove the car home and later on that evening my CEL came on while I was driving. I freaked out and called the shop that installed the chip. He checked the car on Monday, found nothing wrong. Light has not come on since Sunday. Car has been running great. I leave work tonight, get in my car and all it wants to do is crank over and over. I called the shop again, he asked if the CEL is on when the key is turned on. It's not on, At all. Now I have to wait till tomorrow to get it towed to him. If its not the chip I have to pay for the tow. My car ran fine till I got the chip installed. It has to be the chip. Anyone else have this problem or know someone that did have the problem. This sucks....

gonna be a hard one to diagnose without more details. It could be anything without knowing the CEL code.

Yep, a Vag-Com should be the first tool an Audi owners should buy.

Take it back to the shop. That is why one of the major ecision points of what chip to choose is which installer is closer.

I got to work this morning, thought I would just check to see if it was doing the same thing. I turned the key to on, all the lights lit up even the CEL. The car started. I have no clue at this point why it did not start last night or why the problem fixed itself by sitting overnight. VAG-COM is not going to be an option, I am working on getting something for my PDA. I talked about it in my previous posts.

sounds like the infamous Coolant Temp Sensor problem to me. Sometimes the car will start, sometimes not.
If it happens again, put the pedal to the floor and keep it there as you turn over the car. It should eventually catch - though you'll smell fuel and the car exhaust might blow smoke for a couple seconds.
