Goodness wouldn't that be good to hear? And it sounds like that could be it, because it died the day before and I had to boost her off. Only thing is, with a dead battery wouldn't it boost off still or no?
4th Gear
Not necessarily.
Funny, theres another post very similar to yours tonight, we were having a similar discussion.
I'll just say this. its happened to me at least twice, if not more, where I had a battery that was recently working, started to need a jump or two, then died and wouldnt even start the car while trying to jump it.
Especially if your battery is or near 5 years old, thats all that they last for and then they are totally gone.

I just bought the car a few days ago, the guy told me he had the oil changed and everything checked besides it might need a new battery. It seemed like a sensor problem with the displaying of in 2nd gear, but hopefully it's the battery. I'm going to go try your new idea first sometime this week and I'll give you an update. Thanks allot bro!
He said it could possibly need a new battery. But there's a bad update. The machanic that has the car now called, and said he thinks he found the problem. "A transmition selector switch" I believe is what it's called. Is why the computer is thinking it's in 2nd gear. Which is $425.00
It's either called a transmition selector switch or a neuatral saftey switch if anyone knows anything about that?
ttt
I'm assuming. What belt are you talking about. What could go wrong at 79,000 miles.
