Default Cats are Dead!!!!!

Just found out both my Catalytic Converters are dead and rattling. What are my opions?? I don't want to pay $700 Per at the stealership. Mine is a 12v so my options are limited. I would like to stay legal, any advice would be great.

check this guy's exhaust setup out....
It'll probably cost around $300 including all parts and labor.
This is what I'm saving up for right now.

Forget the stealers man... I got a quote for $1000 for both cats... JUST CATS.....
$300 = y pipe, magnaflow high flow cat, and piping to resonator....
the guy had 2.25s into 3" y-pipe, into resonator

My code is always this...when my stock exhaust glogs ordies or leaks. go aftermarket. its always cheaper and eaier. Now since your a 12v guy then Id say find the size of the stock cat and go out and buy a similar sized catco 50 state leagl cat and get it welded in. yeah it may fit anf finish as well as a stock system but I bet you may gain a few ponies and still be perfectly legal. Plus who admires the under carriage on your car??
