CEL code, anyone know anything?
I just got a check engine light about 2 days ago, driving normally, nothing feels wrong, 2000 A4 1.8t Quattro, heres what it read...
P0411
Secondary Air
Injection System
Incorrect Flow
Anyone know what this likely is or how much I'm looking to cough up ?

did you clear the code and wait to see if it comes back on? if not thats the first thing i would do.
i could be completely off on this and one of the techs will give u a for sure answer, but have you checked your air filter in awhile? has to do with air flow so the first thing i would do is check that filter to see if its clogged or not. the techs on here will help ya out more when they get on.

the code is for your secondary air pump. its located on the passenger side underneath, right next to the DV. when you first turn your car on during cold starts, the secondary air pump comes on andsends some air directly into the exhaust (cats) to try and warm the car up faster and burn off some of the unburnt fuel on cold starts. its purely emissions. the fuse for the system is located in the weather-proof box in the engine bay with the ECU. the relay is also located in the same box. i would check those2 things first, then move on to the air pump itself. everyone says that a secondary air pump that is about to die sounds like a jet engine when you first turn on the car. my system is not working right now either and i'm trying to figure out why, thats the only reason i know this much. good luck
