^lol... ok sorry here is what I did.

Took off the air box, disconnected the maf, took off the secondary air tube, took out the inlet for my air box. Took off the top cover to the air box, installed a cone air intake directly onto the inlet that was previously hooked up to my airbox. Took breather filter and put that onto my secondary air tube. The original MAF tube/connection part is still right between my cone air intake and the inlet. Put the covers back on and drove around, then about 30 min later a CEL came on.

I've been trying to search everywhere to see if other pople have had this happen when trying to do what I did... I found something that was talking about having an exposed MAF and that when air gets around it, this could result in imporper readings which could result in my CEL right now. I was thinking about trying to wrap this off, with maybe some type of foil or something. Thoughts?

well the good news is it looks liek you did everything right. does your car feel any different when your driving(negatively not positivly) Its possible that the cel might be for something else all together

i might be off, but by looking at those pics, it looks like your maf might be backwards

what i did to ensure that it was right, is i put it up inside my box and just made sure it was the same when i put it in the new filter

that will cause a cel if it is in backwards
