Default CEL... is my o2 shimmed too high?

Hello everyone im new to your forum... i regularly post at audizine but i cant find any answers to my particular situation over there...maybe the gurus here can help me

Well i will start from the beginning. After i got my hammer file finallt working correctly i ran into a random CEL that would only come during highway driving or sometimes under prolonged spririted driving. The code was PO136 : "Bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor circuit malfunction". I figured my 02 was defective b/c i had just replaced it. So i got a new one and installed it on wednesday night. cleared the codes and drove it until last night, sunday night. Again under highway driving i got a CEL and a power cut from the ECU. Boost was reduced to 10psi, but it would come and go and has been since then. I checked the codes and now it is:

Code 1: P1114 Bank 1- sporadic: sensor 2: internal resistance too large

Code 2: P1127 Bank 1- Sporadic: Mixture adaption (mult): System too rich

My secondary o2 sensor is shimmed up with two stacked antifoulers and some homemade washers to make it fit snug. There is no black soot anywhere meaning no exhaust leak i think.

Mods are: K04-015 GIAC-FX, 386cc, 3" TT225 maf, borla cat-back, psi testpipe, evoms cai, forge tip, forge 007, fmic

and if this helps here is a picture of my shimmed secondary o2 sensor:

thanks for any help!

Well if it helps i have had my o2 sensor spaced out with 2 non-foulers for over 3 years and haven't had one incident because of it, but im a b5 if it matters. I know a few b6s with an upgraded testpipe will throw codes for the o2 sensor but i really can't give you a for sure answer. Call awe or somewhere and ask.

I would try taking out one of the non foulers and see what happens, its really hard to tell with those fault codes. It could be the non foulers, or it could be your TT MAF causing problems.

I had to dremmel one inch off of the inlet to the TT maf to make everything fit in my intake bay. this also means i removed the screen mesh with it... but i have a u-bend pipe before the maf and a AEM dryflow cone.

Could that be a problem?

I would say yes that could be a problem, do you still have your stock MAF? Why not try putting that back on?

Yes ofcourse, i have the GIAC hammer file for 2001's. It requires a TT 225 MAF. But i was forced to buy a forge TIP because my stock one wasnt working out. Will the forge sticks too far forward and is also less pliable, also doesnt fit the maf to i had to use couplers which made it a tight squeeze in my intake bay. So to make clearance for my evoms u-bend, i cut one inch off of my MAF housing to make it not so long. Now it fits. Besides the mesh not being there i dont see how that could be causing problems. I can replace the mesh with raw materials if needed.
