Default CF hood question

i thought i posted it earlier but here it goes again. im going to go look at a CF hood for 200$ and he said he used wax so it has smears on it and i need to check if its a knock off or something. is there way to get that off? i heard you're not supposed to wax CF but i dont' really know. And how do you take your stock hood off and the window squirters. thnx

Dish soap will take natural waxes off. Its a synthetic compound you'd need something like a cleaner polish.

I don't know why the wax would cause smears, he sould have kept wiping till the residue was gone *mumbles*

Look on the underside of the hood, you should see a sticker or stamp from the manufactuer in there.

It should have a clear coat on it from the factory. But you can always get it redone
