Changing battery
In the past, my car seemed to get all the way back to normal right about 40 miles.
In other words, the normal boost/power was not "all the way there" until about 40 miles. Then, I could feel the power kick back in.
Funny though, last week I did the starter, had the battery off for a day. When I hooked it back up and went cruising, the power band seemed pretty normal, like it had already adjusted properly after a few miles.
So, I was like, bonus, I can drive the crap out of it right away.
Also to note, I my idle was dropping lower than normal until I did a tba this morning. Just turn the key on, and let it sit for 60 seconds. Then start the car.

Not too much needs to be done after disconnecting the battery, but you will want to:
1. Turn the ignition on for a few minutes before starting the car, so the ECU can do a TBA.
2. Enter your radio code so the radio works.
3. Reset the auto up/down on the windows by lowering them and holding the button for a few seconds, and raising it and holding the button for a few seconds, a couple times per window.
After that you should be good to go. The ECU will adapt over the next 40-odd miles or so.

hi,
to preserve all the memories of your Audi:
before disconnecting the old battery, connecting an ordinary pile (not rechargeable) 9 volt in the cigar-lighter.
You exchanges the battery. Afterwards, you disconnect the pile from 9 V and all remained OK.
Nothing else to do!
