its on the side of the engine it's kinda hard to see and to take off but you will need to get the oil filter wrench at a auto part store to remove it

If you have a tiptronic......

If you think the oil filter is hard to find, don't change your oil until you know which of the drain plugs is the oil and which is the transmission. You have to remove the undercarriage shield to access it. The drain plug you see when you are under your car that is behind the shield is the transmission, and many a newbie has told us.

If you are going to change your own oil, invest in the proper tools and know where everything is supposed to be.

The last thing this guy needs is a stuck oil filter with a hole in it. A 30 dollar oil change is now a 100 dollar flatbed to a garage.

If you can;t get it off with a wrench, than take it into a garage to have the oil changed. The savings in $$$ probably isn't worth the effort.

An oil change with Mobil 1 at WalMart is $29.70, you supply the oil filter. Let them deal with the splash shield.
