changing water pump on 2000 1.8t

gday, i need to change my water pump according to the shop. id rather do this myself.
can anyone give a me a step by step guide, ie how to losen the correct belts, and do i need to remove the front bumper?
any help would be appriciated.
also does anyone know what the part is worth?

This is a decent guide here for the water pump. I HIGHLY suggest you change the timing belt also when doing the water pump. Its something that should be done at 90k miles and can cause up to $3000 damage if breaks.

Actually most people on the forums recommend 60-70k miles for timing belt/water pump/tensioner change. I've seen lots of failures at these mileages.

70k for timing belt/tensioner/idler roller(s) but if changing the pump its common sense to do the others it will save money in the long run

Yep they should all be changed including the thermostat.

forgot that one lol also the coolant because you will lose it all when the pump is removed

no words of advice im a mechanic so its easy for me, just take your time and read the books

Takes about5-8 hours for the tbelt and everything else mentioned above depending on your skill.. My advice would be to not **** it up.
