does anyone know a good place to order like a quart of factor paint? anywhere that its not going to cost me an arm and a leg? also what prices have you paid?

also i dont think duplicolor makes the exact match for our silver cars anymore, if anyone finds it let me know

find out u'r color code...it should be written somewhere
near your spare tyre...look for it online...lotsa stores
online will specifically customize your paint with the
color code...also depending on where you live, check
at local auto paint shops...i live in ithaca...and there;s
this autobody paint shop...i gave them my color code
and they got their paint machine to mix me the color i
want!

Most paint supply stores have the right stuff and can mix your color, I just bought a quart or santorin blue and it was like 185.00 but thats like the best quality and honestly i wouldnt put anything less on there or it wont look the same

 

would a quart which i think its 32 oz go farther the say 32 oz in a spray can? like with a gravity gun?

 

well...i got 1/4 of a quart for $15 and it actually looks pretty much like my original paint...
how it looks mostly depends on how well you put it on...meaning following the right procedures
with the primer etc....but i'l going to be doing some major bumper work as soon as it gets warmer
so lets see how that goes!

Yes, i think people have been using 1.5-2 cans for each side of the 12.5oz spray can, i think it only has like 3-5 oz of paint, mixed with thinner and the weight of the can. Someone will chime in that has done it. I would have a long time ago but s4 sides look way better .

 

thanks trailboss, yea thats kinda what i thought but i want to make sure. i think i will go with ppg clear coat because that is what the top body shop in the area recommended. also if anyone owns a body shop or has a lot of expirence with paint please chime in i have a lot of little questions i would like to ask in a pm, dont want to bore people on here
