a bad dv wont set a CEL......you would also notice a honking noise from under the hood.
withit running @ 4 psi i would agree and say you are in limp mode.
"I can take the boost gauge hose out of the equation by un-Ting it from the hose coming out of the intake manifold. I'll try this out today during lunch."
you can try that if you have a little vacuum cap to cover the tee
i dont have any pics of the combination valve for secondary air pump avail.
if i get a chance i will snap a few.
???? is the shop you are taking this to know the audi product very well??

I unhooked the boost gauge. The hose from the intake manifold no longer has a "T" for the boost gauge and goes straight into the (whatever the other end is called). The car still runs the same. But I will keep it this way for the rest of the week to see what happens.
I will unhook the battery and see what happens next...
Does anyone have any other thoughts? Black B5 - were you able to get a pic of that part you mentioned?
Thanks all,
Renee

And the fix is....the fuse! All this time, the fuse was busted! Of course, we have no idea as to "why" it popped. Thanks to Brian's Garage in Needham, MA for figuring it out! We'll see if it pops again.
