Default Check Engine Light

I just put APR I+ in my car, (chip+injectors). Don't have a cat back on it yet. I was driving home yesterday and my Check engine light came on. No power loss but I am worried about it. What could be the problem?

Are injectors necessary with APR stage 1? How many miles?? If you have bigger injectors than what is stock with stage 1, there could be some unburned fuel getting into the cat which i think will cause it to go bad real quick, and then youll get a CEL. How many miles you got? Could be 1 of many things though, im just brain storming.

My CEL cherry was popped this morning in my maxima, so ill be doing the same thing you will be doing after work. I wish i could get an obd scan tool/adapter for my laptop for that car. Thats the first CEL ive ever had. Good luck.

I have 42K on my car and only about 500 miles with the chip in. And yes I do have bigger than stock injectors, APR makes different softwear look on the APR sight it is the Stage I+ program. I was thinking that it is a problem with the cats, I need to better flowing exhaust.

I dunno much about apr.. Ive had giac for about 2 months with stock exhaust and injectors with no problems. I doubt its the cat though with only 42k miles, but who knows. Try emailing apr and tell them whats up.. They may have a suggestion too.

So the code at auto zone said my car was running too lean, that was confusing i figured it would be too rich if anything seeing how i have injectors but now exhaust. Weird thing is the CEL when off on my drive to work this moring. What should I do?

we need a code to be able to help you here but if it went off don't worry about it unless it is flashing it is still fine to drive your car

APR guy said the check engine light may come on in the relearing stage of the fuel delivery system. He claimed it was no big deal, is he full of it or not.
