Anyone know how to turn the check engine light off on a 2001 A4? I need to get my tag renewed and my check engine light came on a few days ago and I don't have the money to get it to the shop for a couple more weeks. I don't want to drive back and forth to work with an expired tag and cost me more money that I don't have.

Any suggestions?

 

Get it fixed.

Take it to Autozone, get it scanned for engine codes, and post them here. It could be something simple.

 

I've heard Autozone does diagnostic tests, do they charge to do it?
