autozone
Well, i have vag com to scan for codes, but it sounds like you dont, so go to autozone and theyll scan your ecu for fault codes.

Mine comes on almost daily these days due to the cold weather notgetting along with my high flow catalytic converter. That Vag-Com has paid for itself a long time ago!!!

i look for soemthing that i can hook up to my OBD port so i can see what the fault code is, such as vag com or a obd port scanner.

I love the Ross-Tech Vag-Com because it allows you to log various parameters while driving the car. When I installed my Awe-Tuning FMIC, I took before and after logs to see the performance difference. After a few 3rd gear runs, I went home and compared before/after IAT, EGT, CF, specified and actual boost, etc... to see if the FMIC made a considerable difference.
