Chilton manual is a POS
So I ordered my Vag-Com cable today which I'm really excited about and I get home for lunch and low and behold the Chilton manual has absolutely nothing about fault codes or even a mention of how to clean the airbag sensors (which is what i have to do right now). Anyway, I think I once saw a post listing a bunch of codes but I can't seem to find it. Could someone 1) direct me in the right direction for the codes and 2) let me know if you have a good method in which to clean the under the seat airbag sensors? TIA.
If you want to learn fast, dont use the manuals, just and do it urself. I dont even have a manual, all the stuff i installed, i never used one. Like turbo install, suspenion, none of that, i just did it myself.
Haha, if you want to learn fast... priceless. You're an animal audiboy.
Seriously though, buy a bentley manual... they are very good. Turbo upgrade is straightforward... airbags are scary. Clearing the light is nothing to be afraid of, but yeah, I'd want to know I was doing it right before starting.
In fact, I am in the same boat as you... just have been too lazy to even try.

Actually, I've seen the mechanic clean the sensor quite a few times but I'm not sure what he cleans it with. I think he uses a qtip and rubbing alcohol but I'm not sure. Anyone got an idea? I'm not opposed to learning how to do it on my own but it never hurts to have a manual so that I don't have to try to get to my office so I can post on here
