Do most A4 chips boost the psi on your turbo? Thanks.

 

i know the APR chip does quite a bit.</P>

 

Just about any chip for the 1.8T boosts the Boost<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">Just read the manufacturers site it will say but the usualy list it in terms of bar and not psi. 1bar=14.7 psi</P>


and if they dont have a site there not reputable enought to put there chip in your car.</P>

 

I bought my car with a chip, unfortunately it was a trade in so the dealer didn't know a whole lot. But from what I can see the turbo seems stock and my boost gauge reads about 15psi at full throttle.

 

yah thats not stock pressure. stock is like 7 psi

 

I also bought my car with a chip already installed in it but mine boosts to 19 PSI!! at full throttle....</P>

yeah stock pressure is from 7-9 psi. Chipped 1.8's (depending on the chip) normally run 14-18 psi and can peak higher than that.

Fresh: what year is you car? Could be a GIAC X-chip.

My Audi A4 is a 1998 model 1.8T Quottro.
but yeh i'd like to know what my chip is eh!

Cant you just pop off the ecu cover and take a look??
