yeah...cruised the internet tons about chips, I was just wondering if I could get some advice from people who have experience and not just from someone who wants to sell me.

sorry for the not so warm welcome, it's just that this has been asked so so so many times and the information is very readily available on this forum if you search for it. making a new thread just makes the relevant information that much harder to find. Here is what you are looking for: https://www.audiforums.com/m_307364/tm.htm
Good luck and no hard feelings, just use the search button first and never ask about installing a BOV. oh and welcome to the forums.

For 2005.5 + A4's most people chip APR. Definitly go with APR or REVO. Both big companies with qualtiy service, and brand name quality. Chipping is definitly worth it, so Irecommend you do it. Now along with a chip you will need to replace your "Diverter Valve" which will run you $35-180 depending on what brand/type you go with. Just make sure its a Diverter and not a Blow off. And I'm assuming your talking about a FMIC, many many people make those and it really just comes down to research... For a chip, especially STAGE 1, you really don't need a FMIC. If you're going to buy an intercooler you might as well go STAGE 2

Hope that helped a little.
