Chip Time! Need Input
Hello everyone! I have a 2002 Ebony Pearl Audi A4 1.8T Tiptronic with the Premium Package, Sport Package and Xenon's. I am trying to decide what is the 1st thing I should do to the car. I was thinking of chipping the car this week with the GIAC chip and also having the A710 DV installed at the same time. I wanted to know if you think that is the first thing I should do or is there something else you would recommend? This is a really great forum! All comments are appreciated.

As soon as i hear about my car the first thing i will do will most likely be Giac Xchip/Borla Exhaust.. thats kind of expensive but probably dollar for dollar the best increase in horsepower right off the bat...

RE: Chip Time! Need Input
Thanks for the input. There is one other thing I can do to my car besides an exhaust. The GIAC dealer that is installing my chip has told me there is possibly a chip for my transmission to make it shift harder/faster/etc. He said it depends on my car and he would check it out when he was installing the GIAC chip to see if it is an option on my car. Does anyone know of this mod? I can call him and get more info if necessary but was wondering because I never heard this mentioned on the forum.

GIAC makes a tip chip for about 250.
I currently have a 2000 1.8T with the APR chip. I've been chipped for 35K miles and no problem, however, I'm thinking about putting in a tip chip and then going to a K04/GIAC combination.
