Default chiping an a4

hey all,
i just got home from the audi dealers service shop(my a4 is running slugish) and i asked the service advisor about chipping my a4 1.8t and he advised me not to!
he told me the seals would break and the turbo would burn out.
is the true?
or a canned awnser from audi?

Why would you ask your dealer about chipping.
Of course he is not going to advise it. HES A DEALER.
Just chip it

yeah with a K&N you have to be careful not to over-oil it. If you are careful then it will be ok... but if not your MAF will die on you.
