Default clamp on DV

hey quick question, ive put in a 710N dv on my 1.8T ive put a clamp where the hose plugs into the actual engine, do i have to put on on the dv itself, reason i ask is im too scared that i might titen it too much and crack it lol..

also from reading past posts on this forum, the conclusion for this dv is do not reverse it.

it def. needs a clamp on it, get the screw tight ones from the hardware store and just tighten till there snug. dont worry about cracking it its pretty rigid. don't reverse it...

There is so much pressure going through those hoses to the DV, you are bound to blow any hoses assocated with your vac system if you don't clamp them all down.

hey i clamped it all down, b*tch of a place to get to, but i think i might have squeezed that small vacum hose too much, how would i know if i sweezed it enough to block its opening to the dv??? would the car act funny if that hose was blocked?
