cleaned my TB just last night and now this - pics
Last night I cleaned my throttle body. It was real dirty, and the little shake I had around 900 rpms vanished. When I was cleaning it, I noticed a little of oil in the tube and in the TB. This was fresh looking oil, not carbon build up. After searching the forums, I learned this is normal. For kicks, I checked it today, and here are some pics. This is about 24 hours after the cleaning, and I want to know if this is too much oil in there, and if this is a problem

Fixed your pics..
A little oil is normal... Its hard for me to say if that is too much oil after only 24 hours back in there... Im thinking it is, because Ive had my TB boot off before and never saw that much... Check out the thread that talks about servicing the pcv system.. It should be on the first or secondpage still.

Your system might be slightly different depending on yr/engine code.

Wow.. great write up. Thanks. If the pcv system is failing, will that effect the performance of my car? With that said, how soon should I be fixing this??? Is this something I should do really soon, or can it be postponed without hurting my car? I was really hoping to get exhaust in a couple of weeks, but I may have to do this first..... ?
Also...what was wrong with the pics? That was the first time I ever tried uploading any pics.

You used [/mg] instead of [/img] for the end tag.
Thanks bro. I have no cel, so I will check the parts you mentioned. What should I be looknig for in checking them?
Thanks for fixing my pics.
Thanks for fixing my pics.
Eh if youve got anywhere near 100k miles it would be wise to skip checking them and just replace them. Sort of like vac lines. Much easier to replace as preventative maint. than to go through the trouble of "checking" them. You have to remove them to check them anyway so why not just replace?
you might want to change the pvc parts 1.8t said and drain your ic (probably about 1/2 cup of oil in there)and even add a oil catch can (to prevent the oil to get that far).
The dealership doesn't have them in stock...go figure. I think I saw the breather tube on ECS though. Is it bad to drive like this for a couple of weeks?
I am @ 114000 miles, so I will replace the parts you mentioned. Do you think the check valves need replacing too....or are they fine? I'd save around 120.00 bucks if I don't have to replace all 4 of those
