when you clean the maf. can you cllean the actual plug itself?

i don't see why not, just let everything dry say over night before pluging it back in....... make sure your car is off and that you disconnect the negative battery terminal....... and have your radio code

there is a special MAF cleaning spray selling in Autozone, spray it all over the MAF and let it dry for ten minutes, then put it back and enjoy your clean MAF

dont use anything besides MAF/electronic cleaner on it, brake cleaner would probably kill it.

get CRC electronics cleaner. sold at autozone. basically just need any alcohol based cleaner that leaves no residue.

take out the sensor from the housing. spray it down, let dry. i'd give it about 20minutes just to be safe. reinstall and you'll be good to go

were can i find my MAF cause i need to clean my too. And what happens when you dont have it cleaned cuase my CEL went off for this saying that my MAF was dirty.
