When you install the clear corners, it's a lot easier than it may seem. I just installed mine a few weeks ago and spent 10 minutes scratching my head until I figured it out. There is a safety clip behind the side corner light that you have to slide over, then depress the clip below it and push it out. Hope that helps.

 

there is a small teb that is folded back into the rear of the corner housing. It has a small oval hole in it. Looking down from the top (through a small hole in the engine bay frame) stick a screwdriver into this hole of the tab. Now flick it back towards the engine. It will unclip and the corner will be free.

 

perhaps this is a dopey question but will the clear coners fit my 00 S4?

I do believe 2000's have one piece headlights.

You need to do the clear corner mod if you want clear corners.
