Clutch destruct at 1400 miles
I just bought a 2005 A4 Quattro. I babied it for 1100 miles for the break-in period. At 1400 miles I shifted as the car was going 60 mph and the clutch no longer worked.
Anyone have similar problems? The service manager told me on the phone that I had to have abused the car since he has never seen a clutch problem. Quite a shock to have the car break and then be falsely accused. A service rep looked at my tires and stated that it was obvious to him the car had not been abused. Anyone? |

It takes alot of abuse to destroy a clutch(belive me). The problem prolly is your actaul clutch pedal to the clutch plate itself.

sounds like the bearing in your clutch wasn't set right.... it should be a simple fix. I had a similar problem with my mustang where the clutch wasn't installed correctly to begin w/and it gave me bad responses.

Take it to another audi dealer

That's a load. Make sure you speak to your regional Audi service rep on that. I'd find a new dealer too. How close is the next dealer to you?
