Clutch destruct at 1400 miles
I just bought a 2005 A4 Quattro. I babied it for 1100 miles for the break-in period. At 1400 miles I shifted as the car was going 60 mph and the clutch no longer worked.
Anyone have similar problems?
The service manager told me on the phone that I had to have abused the car since he has never seen a clutch problem. Quite a shock to have the car break and then be falsely accused. A service rep looked at my tires and stated that it was obvious to him the car had not been abused.
Anyone?

sounds like the bearing in your clutch wasn't set right.... it should be a simple fix. I had a similar problem with my mustang where the clutch wasn't installed correctly to begin w/and it gave me bad responses.
