factory has a dual mass flywheel, which helps to dampen engine vibrations

I just put in a Spec Stage 2+ with Alum Fly wheel. With the J valve and APR chip. I like the clutch! Very easy to use with alot of grip and also the fly wheel revs up nice! The only down fall is the lighter wheel as a tingie noise to it while in idle, but as soon as you push the clutch in the noise goes away. It seems to be about a 8 pound diffrence in flywheel weight.

yah hes right on the weight difference. I have had an Amco lightweight flywheel and South Bend stage 2 clutch in 2 audis now and love them. Its a great combo and runs and operates well. I have noticed no problems with them. I have that combination on my 2001 A41.8tq and am running great. (Also,) I had this on my old A4 with K04 and GIAC K04 chip and it worked great!
