is this a code

when i start my car the message l n l or L n L appears under the odometer on my 97 audi A4 does anyone have any clue as to what this means or anyway to tell.. thanks guys

I dno what this means man .. does this mean i have to take it to the dealer or is it jus a reminder and can be reset

pretty sure it means a service interval was set for the car and when that light comes on its a reminder to get it serviced (most likely oil change)

yeah, say it is set to 5k miles to remind you to change the oil. that is all it basically is, if you get a VAG-COM you can reset it and adjust the interval in which it goes off
