yes I read the code wrongly because there was no such code ( my fault my eyes are not what they used to be ) but you were also very wrong in saying it was the gas tank area so ill leave this one for you to figure out

Have the code reset with a VAG-COM or a code reader. See if it comes back.

I don't know where the tank ventilation valve is located. It is not the exhaust gas recirculation valve.

The wire that goes to the valve has come loose.

Where to look:

charcoal canister

fuel filler neck

follow lines from gas tank
