So i have a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro i want to put a cold air intake on it but am having trouble finding and deciding on one...which one would be best as far as price, hp increase, fuel efficiency, etc. ... and links if u have them... thanks

but u get no HP gains.. only a better BOV type sound. a custom one is ideal and run u around $130. If you buy a kit one, it's like $300 somthing and ot worth it.. u get no gains.

I know it doesnt feel like you get any HP gains but does anybody have Dyno proof that you dont?

 

i doubt someone would pay for a dyno after only getting an intake

 

Very true. I see where people are coming from when people say the intake gives 0 or very little HP but nobody can back up that statement with hard facts.

 

yeah, but both dyno's would have to be done under the exact same conditions or the numbers would not be accurate, so unless someone buy's an intake, does a dyno pull, swaps out the intake, and does another pull, we'll never know for sure

 

this or the airbox mod work just as well

what parts did you use exactly and where could i get them and was it very hard?
