I have a 98 Avant 2.8 quattro. Whenever I start the car when its not been run for 30 min or more, it cranks hard then starts up and runs great. I was wondering what may be causing this, could it be the coolant temp sensor? Any help is much appreciated!!

 

Always start with the CTS sensor on audi's for temperature related starting concerns. Go to www.ecstuning.com to get the sensor.

 

Or you can get it from napa for &7 and not pay shipping.

 

Or you could go to VW and buy it (yes they have it.). Same thing happened to me, change the ETS.
