Default Considering a 2005 A4 2.0TQ

I am considering the purchase of a 2005 A4 2.0TQ. I know that I can peform countless seaches till I am blue in the face, but I'd like to know how people feel about this vehicle in general. I'm looking for something that is refined, yet responsive with the potential to improve its performance. How does this car feel bone stock? I know what it looks like from the outside, how do you guys feel about the interior and the layout?

Thanks for any input....

Well first off a 2.0TQ would be an 05.5 or an 06 . Its called a B7.
The 2002-2005 is called the B6 chasis. 96-01 is a B5 .. Just FYI

Of course its a great car , not so many B7's on this forum though.
Check out www.audizine.com for more B7 owners

Now, now... Let's not go dismissing the B7 owners here just yet.

True, there aren't many of us here, but I think that those of us who are here would resoundingly endorse the B7. I love mine. Great car.

Thanks for the input guys. How responsive are Audi dealers to negotiating with the price of new cars? The invoice price and the MSRP price of the car is not big - maybe $2,000. What's a fair offer?

Don't know how other dealers and customers are working the numbers, but I paid invoice for mine.

The dealer that I walked into yesterday seemed to be selling the B7 like hot cakes. The one that I have my eye on isn't even on the lot yet because it was ordered and the buyer changed their mind. But if you got yours for invoice, then negotiating isn't out of the question.

it's an excellent car both stock and with a few mods it rivals the much more expensive s4!

It was odd for me. They DID seem to be flying off the lot BUT they negotiated quite a bit as well. Maybe there are dealer only incentives?

The car is wonderful but a little "buzzy". I came out of a BMW 325i. You get more for your buck with the A4 especially on the fit and finish end. The inline 6 of the 325 was pure heaven though. I miss its smoothness. I don't miss the rattles and squeaks and the extremely expensive service costs. PLUS I like my Audi dealer a LOT more. Way better service attitude. (Audi of Rochester Hills).

The interior is awesome. Just go drive one, they are so smooth. I guarantee you will love it. If it doesn't have enough power for you, just know that with a chip for $500, you'll be in the 250 bhp range.
