I need a car for driving and am thinking of an Audi A4 convertible. I have an older beater car for the winter so this would be for 8 months or so out of the year. It has to be used to fit in the family budget. I like the 1.8T idea and need an automatic as my wife may drive it if I need her SUV...

What should I look for? What are the problem areas for these cars (2003 - 2008)?

I found this one in MA and it is interesting. I'd rather have black/black but the dark blue/gray is nice as well. Not sure about all the mods done to the car...
