This kid I go to school with has a Contour SVT and has asked me numerous times to race him in my completely stock A4. I'm pretty sure I couldn't keep up with him, as I'm not chipped, and I've got a tip. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever been up against one of these things??

I would say, that in this case, they've got you beat completely stock...of course, a good driver vs a bad driver could be the bigger difference

 

the svt has:

less wieght (slightly)
much more power (~200hp ~170 lb/ft)
and it does a 1/4 mile in 15sec STOCK

you really have no chance, even chipped i dont think you'd win.

 

I figured he had me beat stock. I'm hoping to be chipped around mid next summer. If I can find a track around my area, I'll give it a go then, but I won't do it on the streets.

 

ive seen two of them racing each other, i think its really only as fast as a normal focus (not the svt focus just the run of the mill crappy high school student focus).i think you can run against him, after all its only for fun right. really sure its fun to race every now and then on the street but watch once you get older youll be like what the hell is the point of a race.

I think he would win.. but it's all for fun.. not to metion even if he wins you can just be like **** you I have an audi. haha. because your car is oo so much nicer.
