Default control arms

hello everyone, how hard and how long does it take to replace all of my control arms and tie rods? the dealer said the recall doesnt cover my year. 2001 1.8tq thanks

not sure how much work is involved but ecstuning has a kit that includes everything, 8 contol arms, heavy-duty tie rod ends, bushings and hardware for 600 bucks

It should take around 5 hours to change them all out. It's not really that hard to change them.

if you plan to do it yourself, there are things you need to know. Like, you need to tighten specific bolts to specific torque while there is pressure on them (aka the car is off the lift and resting on the arms)...

Its an easy job to do it the wrong way, and very involved to do it the exact way... If you get the job reasonably in between that you will be ok.

thanks for your replies hmm seems kind of hard. about knowing how hard and how much to tighten it. I might just take it to the shop. thanks though
