Convert 90bhp to 110bhp 1.9 TDI??

Will these chips be ok with a 1995 A4 1.9 TDI?
Also I notice that the second link you posted sells these 'plug and play' smart boxes.
I am still wondering if these are worth looking in to as a cheap alternative.

The vanaaken ones aren't really a 'cheap' alternative they're still pretty pricey but from what i've heard they seem to be one of the best in the tuning box market. http://www.tuningbox.com/index.php is another one that i've heard of.

Loads of people in the UK use them, people on the BMW forums have gone for tuning box's so they can be removed for servicing and not invalidate their warranty.
Basically just interrupts the ECU signals to the engine and alters them slightly, not as precise as chipping but on a diesel car that's more than adequate as diesels aren't as sensitive to tune as petrol engines.

Oh yeah for sure they still give the same results, they're just a bit more generic ie not tailored to suit each individual car like a remap is, but on something like a 10 year old low pressure turbo diesel like yours the engine won't need anything to specific tuning wise.
I'd go with the box personally just for the simple fact that when you sell the car you can either sell it with the car as an extra or put it on ebay and get most of your money back. Whereas a chipped car isn't worth anymore and in the real world tends to put off many buyers as they associate it with people that will drive the car hard.

Thanks, that's the kind of advice I was looking for.
So I should be ok with the box and still get a noticable gain, EXCELLENT!
As for damage to the engine etc. will this give me any problems or more ware and tear etc?
Also I have seen a few of these going for about £60 and some going for more than £100. Are there any names I should avoid or are they all ok?
Thanks

That one looks a bit ***** if you ask me, there is noway you can fit that many vehicles with one box.
Shouldn't see any increase in wear and tear really, diesels are much longer lasting than their petrol friends, i'd just make sure you keep to service intervals with oil and the timing belt etc as per usual.
