Try changing it yourself, you'll probably go through the entire alphabet of curse words before you get it out though. We like to play a prank on the new techs that join audi thinking they are hot shots out of bmw and mercedes by making them do a 1.8T flange, Usuallly takes them about 3-4 hours before they even get it out and a whole lot of curse words laterI know....not very nice.

You gotta take off that three way crank case hose and jam your hands back there and get those two bolts out. Your in for a good amount of pain so get yourself some mechanic gloves or something. Other than than you pretty much have to use a mirror to see what your doing. The only other way to get it out is from the rear when the transmission is out then its easy, but thats stupid for just the flange. Its probably gonna take you 3-10 hours depending on how dedicated you are.
Yes you have to drain the coolant

Warranty is 1.5 hours, and customer pay is usually 2.5 to 3 hours, i can change them in about 40 minutes.

Umm, well don't let anyone rape you for 5 hours or anything like that, its always variable so you can negotiate with the service writer, just make it sound like your broke and you need the car he might give you a break.
