Cornering
Today after tennis, my friend took his Volvo XC70 on some pretty twisty roads and eventually we were going 95 and his car did under-steer abit so we almost crashed and died. Later, I took my 96 A4 2.8Q and it performed so much better. I was totally impressed. No signs of under-steering even at high speeds. I did not accelerate hard though since I baby my car. Does such cornering put significant stress on the suspension or is it just the tires? My friend and I had an argument about that.
Thanks!

RE: Cornering
cornering hard puts significant stress on your suspension, yes...do you have the stock suspension? i would think a new xc70 would out-perform a 96 a4...especially since there was no sport suspension in 96...

RE: Cornering
No, XC70 is the S60 wagon, basically a Volvo A6 Avant. XC90 is the SUV. Your car understeers, for definitely sure. You weren't going fast enough to reach the limit, but nose heavy Audi+stock suspension=understeer.
