on my forge 007 DV it came with another spring, could that be the cause of my low boost? also, if it was installed wrong.....could that cause it too, put in backwards for example(ive heard about it being done before to fix issues). its holding at 10psi and spiking at 15......sometimes.

Ya try another spring. If they are colored, the green spring usually gives best results.

Try the test outlined here:

Well mine will spike to about 16 or so in second and then go up to about 18 or so in 3rd, but never really hold once up in the high rpms....i think it could be forge....heard a lot of people having problems with them...

Auditurbo,

That is how every stock turbo'ed 1.8t performs boost wise. I would suggest trying the test in the link I posted above, that will help determine if it is the valve or not.

Philthykins,

If you have alredy tried the test I would recommend logging your car to determine actual boost versus target boost. If they match there is a problem with your programming, if they don't match it would say either the N75 or tht your turbo is failing.

make sure you check all your hoses and clamps as well. also check the L breether valve thats between the engine and the coolant tank. Those break all the time! squeeze it and feel around for rips.
