Default Cracked trans. saved or not?

hello,

Well I pulled up on my driveway and saw small drops somthing. Looked under, And their is a crack on my trans where the driveshaft goes. I drove the car about 3 blocks after i noticed this. it drove normal.

My question is, Do i need a whole new trans? or can I get a new housing / have it welded?

Thats crazy. You're going to need a new tranny. I would suspect a broken tranny mount is the reason for that happening. The stress has got to go somewhere, and if the mount isnt absorbing it, something else is.

Iv been reading and what i have cracked is my rear cover. Right near the tail shaft. So if i can find another one from the dealership or used, I sould be good. I did not drive far when it was leaking.
