our cars with the stock ko3 or ko4 don't absolutely need a turbo timer.. as long as you take the last few minutes of driving easy and keep in in vacuum instead of boost then you will be fine just parking your car and turning it off without sitting in it

 

no cars need turbo timers. it does the samw jsut to sit in your car and let it idle. the only way a turbo timer is usefull is when you are in a hurry (late to school/work) and u need to bounce and u want ur turbo to cool.

 

the point that i am trying to get across is that you actually cool the turbo more if you are driving for a few minutes in a high vacuum instad of just idling in a parking space for 1 or 2 minutes it actually cools the turbo more since there is more airflow getting to the turbo.. so you don't even have to sit in the car even if you don't have a turbo timer

 

i cracked my ko4. I actaully spun the wheel right off the thing, and blew a hole right of the side because i was on the stock IC, and was doing top speeds runs in the winter, it happens.
