A few years ago some guy hit and ran my car when my wife was driving alone. She didnt realize how bad the damage was, and tried to follow him, but the rear wheel fell off when she started to move the car. We had allstate insurance and our rates went up cuz they had to pay for it. We had witness statements, and police reports, but they didnt care about any of it. They had to pay, so we had to also is pretty much what they told us.

Yea as stated before my insurance is going to have to pay for the damages and I did have witness and police report but since they can't find they guy my rate is most likely going to go up. Its the worst feeling when you know it wasn't your fault but you are going to have to pay for it because some ******* was driving in a stolen car.

This is the only accident I have had in the four years I have been driving and I was in track for perfect record when I turned 21 next year.

Poloblue22 that sucks man! I work for a large insurance company, and as F'd as it sounds... you prolly would have been in better shape hitting the jerk because
A) he would have been at fault and HIS insurance company would have paid for the damages.
B) you wouldn't be left in a pissed off daze, knowing some irresponsible jerk did that to you.

If you aren't at fault (and this is depending on your company), you shouldn't have much to worry about. As long as you haven't had 5 not at fault accidents in the past or so... you should be fine. Good luck with the car bro! Its a sh**** situation, but I think a large part of us have been there before.

sir daft yea the more I think about it I really should have smashed into that pos neon but I couldn't risk it I guess my instincts just took over or whatever. This is my first incident and I am with Chubb so I don't know if you know anything about them or what.

jl the ******* ******** took 45 mins to come!! and when I asked them about catching the guy they were just like "oh well if we find him we will but we aren't going to be looking for him"

Do your research on it ...also dpends what insurance company you have... I think state farm is the only one that will gurantee buying new parts for an accident vehicle...the others i believe go to used parts..
